Meet the Production Team

Joe is a senior journalism major at Ithaca College and aspiring lawyer. When he's not in Ithaca, Joe spends time with his family on Long Island. Long-form sports journalism has always been a passion of his. Joe played football at Ithaca College for four years and also enjoy playing other sports in his free time as well.

Yas is a senior journalism major who loves video work and ice hockey. He is a writer for a few fantasy hockey advice websites and on campus has worked on many student cinema projects. Yas has taken on many roles in student film productions from assistant director to colorist to producing to scoring. Over the summer Yas interned as a video editor for Comcast Sportsnet Philadelphia’s web team and covered major local sporting events like the PGA Tour’s visit to the Merion Golf Club. Growing up most of his summers were spent either camping in the Maine woods or working at his cousin’s farm-- both places had plenty of bees buzzing around.

Sara is a junior journalism major, politics minor at Ithaca College. This is her first documentary, but has been working with audio and video storytelling for years. Sara is currently the Assistant News Director of 'the station for innovation' 92 WICB and is a reporter for Newswatch 16 on ICTV. Sara is also very involved with Ithaca College Catholic Community and is a resident assistant for the Freshman Year Experience program. When she isn't working in the Park School of Communications, Sara enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Four students from Ithaca College decided to localize a major environmental issue effecting honey bees. Here is some information about the students' experience in the field.

Mark is a senior journalism major at Ithaca College with a minor in sociology. Although this is his first documentary, he has had an interest in storytelling since he was a child. An avid sports fan, Mark is a senior staff-writer for the sports section in Ithaca College’s weekly newspaper - The Ithacan. When he was asked to join Lil’ Buzz Productions, he was excited for the challenge of starting an compelling project outside of the sports realm.
